Overview

Political Science : Examination of political and socio-economic development in the Middle East, with particular emphasis on the Arab world. Topics to be addressed include state formation and consolidation; Arab nationalism; civil society and state-society relations; the politics of Islam; petro-politics; the political economy of economic liberalization; and future patterns of political change.
