Nursing : Consolidation and application of advanced nursing and medical knowledge to practice.

No credit will be given for this course unless both NUR2 651D1 and NUR2 651D2 are successfully completed in consecutive terms.

NUR2 675 Reasoning in Primary Care 6 (4 credits)
Overview
Nursing : Decision making/problem solving in the acute presentation of illness as well as the follow up of chronic stable disease in the musculoskeletal and dermatological systems. Students also learn about illness affecting the eyes, ears, nose, and throat and geriatric issues to complement previous teaching on the subject.

NUR2 676 Primary Care Assessment (4 credits)
Overview
Nursing : Decision making/problem solving skills acquired in previous courses. This course is designed as a health and physical assessment course relevant to the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Hands on practice in a laboratory setting before students begin their final integration practicum in various clinical areas with patients.
