Overview

Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences : A seminar course on how weather and climate have influenced human history. The impact of weather and climate on agriculture, disease, demography, economic cycles and history. The Little Ice Age in Europe will be used as an example for study. Methods to establish linkage between weather, climate and history.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Instructors: There are no professors associated with this course for the 2011-2012 academic year.

  • 2 hours lectures; 1 hour seminar
  • Restriction: Open only to newly admitted students in U0 or U1, who may take only one FYS. Students who register for more than one will be obliged to withdraw from all but one of them
