Project Title: Policy and Local Engagement: Mining in Arctic Canada
Project Description:
My doctoral research focuses on the ways in which resource extraction policies intersect with northern Inuit interests and priorities, comparing the different understandings of and approaches to mining. Specifically, it examines how policy created in Ottawa is incorporated or resisted by Inuit when conceptualizing land use and identity.
