High School Students Visit the 缅北强奸 School of Social Work
On March 9th, 2016, the 缅北强奸 School of Social Work welcomed nine high school students from the English Montreal School Board as part of their Career Exploration Program.聽
The students had the opportunity to visit the Wilson Hall building and attend the course Intro to Practicum (SWRK 222), given by Karen Hetherington and Shadi Martin. 聽

The Centre for Research and Expertise in Social Gerontology (CREG脡S) satellite office is a space where students interested in aging issues can network, provide mutual support and share their research interests and practice experiences. This year鈥檚 Distinguished Dissertation Award winner (Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences) has spent much of her academic career studying its impact on children and their families.
Dr. Bree Akesson received her PhD in social work from 缅北强奸.聽 She is now an assistant professor at Wilfrid Laurier University specializing in international child protection and the psychosocial effects of war and disaster on young families.
