Using Simulation to Train Social Workers in Trauma and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)
Dr. Sarah Tarshis is an Adjunct Professor and Researcher with the SIM Social Work Research Lab at Carleton University’s School of Social Work. Dr. Tarshis completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Carleton University (2022), received her Ph.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Social Work (2020), and her MSW from New York University.
Dr. Tarshis’ presentation, "Using Simulation to Train Social Workers in Trauma and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)," will focus on the benefits and limitations of using simulation as a research methodology and a teaching tool to help prepare social work students and new practitioners.
