Her research interests lie primarily in the area of motor speech disorders, more specifically in:
1) understanding of the deficits underlying motor speech disorders in neurodegenerative diseases;
2) the early diagnosis and disease monitoring in neurodegenerative diseases. Using acoustic analyses and other instrumental measures, her work aims to understand the deficits underlying the impairment of the different speech subsystems as well as the interactions between them and with other cognitive processes. She also aims to develop efficient assessment tools for the detection and monitoring of motor speech disorders, including work with French speakers and acoustic biomarkers. Her current research focuses on clinical populations such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and primary progressive apraxia of speech (PPAOS).
