Mini-Science public talk: The brain and decision-making
Ross Otto (Dept. of Psychology) and Mathieu Roy (Dept. of Psychology and Institut Universitaire de Gériatrie de Montréal)
This talk will explore the impacts of personal decisions and the neurological response occurring during the process. Assoc. Prof. Roy will focus on the impact that pain has on decision making through brain imaging data based on a study focusing on the effects of pain and a monetary reward. In addition, Asst. Prof. Otto will examine the impact that features of our choice environment will have on our ability to make good restaurant choices.
