Current research:
The focus is on the mathematical modeling of physiological processes at the molecular, cellular and聽tissue level.聽 Recent work has emphasized:
1. Gene regulation in simple organisms; and
2. Periodic聽hematological diseases (such as cyclical neutropenia, cyclical thrombocytopenia, and periodic leukemia).聽
My emphasis is always on biologically realistic mathematical models, careful consideration of laboratory and/or clinical data, and achieving a reasonable concordance between the data and the modelling.
