Appointment of Diana Dutton, Interim Vice-Principal (Administration & Finance)

Dear members of the Ã山ǿ¼é community,

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Diana Dutton as Interim Vice-Principal (Administration and Finance). Ms. Dutton’s term will begin on July 21, 2023 and will continue until the appointment of a new Vice-Principal (Administration and Finance).

Ms. Dutton has served as Associate Vice-Principal, Human Resources since 2018. In this role, she has overseen the efficient delivery of a range of human resources functions, including talent acquisition, total compensation, organizational development, labour and employee relations, pensions and benefits, HR information services, and payroll, while serving a community of more than 12,600 faculty and staff. With over 25 years of managerial and human resources experience from across the Ã山ǿ¼é landscape, Ms. Dutton has built an exemplary career at the University, earning promotions as Director of Administration in the Desautels Faculty of Management, Director of Academic Personnel in the Office of the Provost, Director of Total Compensation, and Senior Director of Human Resources.

She holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources and a Graduate Diploma in Management from Ã山ǿ¼é, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Art History from Concordia University.

In the coming weeks, I will be finalizing with my executive colleagues a reorganization of some of the vice-principals’ portfolios. In so doing, I am grateful to have Ms. Dutton serve as Interim Vice-Principal (Administration and Finance); I know that I will be able to rely on her strategic counsel and expertise. I look forward to sharing more information about the reorganization of the University’s executive team with the community in due course.

Finally, I would like to thank Ms. Dutton for kindly agreeing to take on these responsibilities during this period of transition and to wish her well in her interim appointment.

Ìý

Sincerely,

Deep Saini

Principal and Vice-Chancellor
