The Centre for the Study of Democratic Citizenship Speaker Series presents 鈥淣egativity in Political Institutions,鈥� a lecture by Stuart Soroka, Associate Professor and William Dawson Scholar in the Department of Political Science at 缅北强奸, past Director of the Canadian Opinion Research Archive, and current co-investigator of the Canadian Election Study. Soroka鈥檚 research focuses on the relationships between public opinion, public policy and mass media. Some of his recent work has focused on the 鈥渘egativity bias鈥� in political behaviour; namely, the tendency for humans to give more weight to negative information than to positive information.
