Windows on the Future: A workshop on ekphrastic poetry with Gwendolyn Owens and Sarah Wolfson
We are delighted to invite you for “Windows on the Future,” a workshop on ekphrastic poetry featuring a sculpture on Ă山ǿĽé’s campus, Marcel Barbeau’s FenĂŞtre sur l’avenir (1992), which many of us pass every day. This year’s theme for Poetry Matters’ workshops in creative writing is ekphrasis — broadly defined, descriptive writing in response to a work of art or other object. This guided workshop with poet Sarah Wolfson and curator Gwendolyn Owens provides opportunity to develop ekphrastic poetry in response to sculpture.
Please note that this event has been rescheduled from Thursday to Friday, April 22 due to the prediction of rain.
Date and time: Friday, April 22, 11 am to 1 pm (ET)
łŐ±đ˛ÔłÜ±đ:ĚýJames Terrace, Ă山ǿĽé campus
