Asa Boxer聽is a poet and critic based in Montr茅al. Recent books include聽Etymologies聽(Anstruther Press, 2016),聽Friar Biard's Primer to the New World聽(Frog Hollow Press, 2013) and聽Skullduggery聽(Signal, 2011). His debut book,聽The Mechanical Bird聽(Signal, 2007), received the Canadian Authors Association Prize for Poetry, and his cycle "The Workshop" won the 2004 CBC/enRoute Literary Award. His work has appeared in collections such as聽The New Canon: An Anthology of Canadian Poetry, the聽Oxford-Poetry Broadside Series, and聽The Best Canadian Poetry in English, 2009 and 2012. His latest chapbook is聽Field Notes from the Undead聽(Interludes Press, 2018). Boxer is founder of the globally recognized Montreal International Poetry Prize.
Marc Di Saverio鈥檚 poems and translations have appeared in such publications as聽CNQ,聽Maisonneuve,聽Hazlitt, and聽Partisan. Poet and critic Shane Neilson acknowledged Di Saverio's first book,聽Sanatorium Songs聽(Palimpsest, 2010) as one of the most compelling debuts of the last two decades. Di Saverio was recognized among the top ten of the world's finest English language haiku poets in 2011 by聽Simply Haiku聽Magazine, and in 2016, Di Saverio was recipient of the City of Hamilton Arts Award For Best Emerging Writer.聽Ship of Gold: the Essential Poems of 脡mile Nelligan聽appeared in 2017 through Montr茅al鈥檚 V茅hicule Press. His聽Crito di Volta: an Epic Hybrid, engaging the topic of mental illness, will appear in 2020.
