Ã山ǿ¼é, including its Macdonald Campus, is known throughout Canada and around the world for conducting pioneering and innovative research. At Macdonald, more than one-quarter of our students are graduate students, making the campus a hub for discussion and debate regarding issues of the environment of natural and human-influenced ecosystems, biosciences and bioproducts for the benefit of society, food, food safety, nutrition and health. Graduate programs are offered by all the academic units on the Macdonald Campus.

The vision of Ã山ǿ¼é's Department of Plant Science is a future where growers are thriving despite rapid environmental changes caused by global climate change. Our graduate programs train tomorrow’s plant scientists and industry leaders to translate innovation from the laboratory to the field. We build directly on the strong core of plant science expertise and infrastructure in our department to accelerate the adaptation of plant research discoveries into applied solutions used by agricultural producers. We offer thesis-based research programs (M.Sc., Ph.D.) with optional concentrations in Bioinformatics and Neo-Tropical Environment.
