Online seminar: Disease Mechanisms in Christianson Syndrome and Related Endo-lysosomal Disorders

Friday, January 14, 2022 11:00to12:00

Dr. Eric Morrow is a physician-scientist and molecular neuroscientist with a focus in autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders. He is a Canadian, born and raised in Toronto, who completed his MD and PhD at MIT and Harvard Medical School. He also conducted postdoctoral training in genetics, neurology and psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Morrow is currently the Mencoff Family Professor in MCB, Neuroscience and Psychiatry at Brown University. His research laboratory focuses on bench-to-bedside studies in human neurogenetic disorders. One area of focus is Christianson Syndrome (CS), a neurologic disorder caused by X-linked mutations in the endosomal Na+/H+ Exchanger 6 (NHE6). Dr. Morrow will present new data from his group on basic neuronal mechanisms as well as new translational studies with the goal of improving treatments for CS.

This seminar will be given online via Zoom. Details in attached poster.
