Winners announced for the Andrew Svoboda Prize for Orchestral Composition and the Luba Zuk Piano Duo Composition Prize
The winners of the听Andrew Svoboda Prize for Orchestral Composition听and the听Luba Zuk Piano Duo Composition Prize听have been announced.听
颁丑别濒蝉别补听碍辞尘蝉肠丑濒颈别蝉听(current PhD) receives the Andrew Svoboda Prize for听Orchestral听Composition, 补苍诲听窜丑耻辞蝉丑别苍驳听闯颈苍听(current DMus) receives the Luba Zuk Piano Duo Composition Prize.听
This year the members of the jury included Professors Brian Cherney, Sean Ferguson (Chair and Dean鈥檚 Delegate) and Chris Paul Harman from the听Composition Area, with Dr. Eliot Britton from the University of Toronto as external member. For the Svoboda Prize听they听were joined by Professor Alexis Hauser, Director of the 缅北强奸 Symphony Orchestra, and for the Zuk Prize听they听were joined by Professor Sara听Laimon听of the听Piano Area.听听听
Though a challenge to evaluate the many applications,听Sean Ferguson shares that,听鈥淲e were impressed by both winners, each of whom has a burgeoning compositional career already in progress. Both Chelsea 补苍诲听Zhuosheng听presented exciting project proposals that we look forward to hearing in the future!鈥澨
