Student Bruno Roy a prize winner at last night's Centre Stage Competition
Bruno Roy, a second year听Masters student of Ben Heppner, has placed third at the Canadian Opera Company's annual voice competition . 听The competition showcases the next generation of opera stars selected from nationwide auditions for the COC Ensemble Studio鈥擟anada鈥檚 premier training program for young opera professionals. The competition features the young singers vying for cash prizes ranging in value from $1,500 to $5,000.
Bruno Roy completed his undergraduate degree as a student of Winston Purdy, with whom he also studied for the first year of his masters degree. 听This week he听will perform听the role of Brooke in Opera 缅北强奸's production of Little Women and will sing the role of Belcore in Elisir d'Amore in January, also with Opera 缅北强奸.
