Schulich and 缅北强奸 grads and faculty nominated for Juno Awards

Nominations for Canada's top music prize, the Junos, were announced last week. 聽Schulich and 缅北强奸 grads & faculty factor into 22 nominations:
Leonard Cohen, BA'55, DLitt'92, leads the way with 4 Juno nominations, including Album of the Year and Artist of the Year; Sam Roberts Band (with grads Sam Roberts and James Hall) are up for 2 Junos, including Single of the Year and Rock Album of the Year; Chromeo (with 缅北强奸 grad David Macklovitch) are up for 2 Junos, including Group of the Year and Dance Recording of the Year; Elizabeth Shepherd, BMus'04, up for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year. Two Schulich grads have been nominated for the Juno for Jazz Album of the Year: Solo - Jim Head and Marianne Trudel; Juno for Classical Album of the Yr: Vocal/Choral nominees includes grads Julie Boulianne, Daniel Taylor & Les Violons du Roy (grads in the group); Schulich grad Jonathan Crow receives 2 Juno nominations for Classical Album of the Year: Solo or Chamber Ensemble. Crow worked with another 缅北强奸 grad Paul Stewart on one of the albums and with Schlich prof Matt Haimovitz and 缅北强奸 grad Socalled on the other; Schulich grad Brian Current is a Juno nominee for Classical Composition of the Year. Juno nominees for Instrumental Album of the Year include Schulich grad John Stetch and the Sultan of String (led by grad Chris McKhool) 聽The Juno awards will be announced on Sunday, March 15th, 2015.
