Master's Recital: Olivia Haramis, soprano
Class of Tracy Smith Bessette
Olivia Haramis holds an Honours, Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance, as well as a Diploma in Opera from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is currently pursuing a Master鈥檚 degree in Voice and Opera at 缅北强奸, where she studies with Tracy Smith Bessette. Recent performances include Jesse Maker鈥檚 Devolving Songs (缅北强奸 Contemporary Music Ensemble), Handel鈥檚 Messiah (Menno Singers), Daniel Regnier鈥檚 脡vang茅line (Opera from Scratch), Mozart鈥檚 Regina coeli K. 108 (Lapierre Premiere Concert), Poulenc鈥檚 Gloria (Laurier Choirs), Anne 1 and Anne 2 in Livingston鈥檚 Singing Only Softly (Opera Laurier), Dorothy Parker from Pearce鈥檚 Etiquette (Opera Laurier), Baby Doe from Moore鈥檚 The Ballad of Baby Doe (Opera Laurier), Blanche from Poulenc鈥檚 Dialogues des Carm茅lites (Opera Laurier), Oph茅lie from Thomas鈥 Hamlet (Opera Laurier), and Christina in the world premiere of Stephanie Martin鈥檚 The Llandovery Castle (Opera Laurier). Olivia looks forward to upcoming performances such as her Master鈥檚 recital, 鈥淭he Woman in the Moon鈥 (Schulich School of Music) and Musetta in Puccini鈥檚 La boh猫me (Pehlivanian Opera Academy). Olivia is a recipient of many awards and scholarships, including a McCall MacBain Regional Award and an RCM National Gold Medal.
