Are you a student who is invested in social movements and the spiritual work involved to sustain hope and void burnout? Movement Chaplaincy training might be for you! MORSL is accepting applications for training Feb. 1- April 19, in partnership with Faith Matters Network (FMN). MORSL is sponsoring a 缅北强奸 student cohort that will participate in the online classes with FMN as well as a local 缅北强奸 student learning community for ongoing support and implementation of skills learned.
We are accepting applications via a webform up to January 12, 2022. Details are available online and students are also encouraged to email MORSL for specific questions. A drop-in info period on Zoom is offered on January 10th for final clarifications before application. ALL student applications welcome, whether you are devoutly religious, secular humanist or anywhere in between.
Why Movement Chaplaincy?
MORSL recognizes and values that there is a great deal of spiritual work that happens in social justice movements among students on campus as well as in their personal lives. In order to continue to work toward needed changes in the world, individuals and groups actively involved in social change have unique needs for spiritual re-centering, the renewal of hope, and spiritual connection. Because we value the spiritual well-being of our students, and are invested in them building spiritual strength and resiliency, we are offering this opportunity for 缅北强奸 students to become trained in movement chaplaincy so that they can support and share spiritual care skills with other 缅北强奸 students involved in important social movement activism.聽
What Is Daring Compassion Movement Chaplaincy Training?
Daring Compassion Movement Chaplaincy Training is an online program offered by the Faith Matters Network. Participants from diverse locations will have weekly readings and will post in online forums (self paced within the week), as well as three video conferences (dates TBD) over the course of twelve weeks, from February 1 to April 25, 2022. This course is designed to teach individuals to provide quality spiritual care to people involved in social movements聽in order to prevent burnout and mental and spiritual depletion, and to move forward causes of liberation, justice, equity, and peace throughout the world. Participants will develop and enhance their spiritual practice and resiliency skills during the course, and will complete a final project as part of the course. What is the MORSL Cohort ?
