Interested in getting an interfaith glimpse into Montreal鈥檚 vibrant Hindu community? Students are invited to join MORSL for a My Neighbour鈥檚 Faith visit to the Hindu Mission temple to explore the beliefs and traditions of Hinduism. On Sunday, March 15th, participants are invited to experience a worship service, learn about the temple, and enjoy a free vegetarian lunch with the community.

The Hindu Mission is the oldest Hindu temple in Montreal. Offering daily worship as well as special pujas and services, the temple (or mandir) represents a space for faith, learning and community service. A free community meal is offered after worship every Sunday.

We will meet outside the Hindu Mission听(955 Rue De Bellechasse, near Rosemont metro station) at 12:15pm, and the visit will run until 2:45pm.

Please dress professionally, keeping in mind that absolutely no leather is allowed in the Hindu Mission (e.g. shoes, bags, belts). Please also note that participants will be asked to remove their shoes before entering the worship area.

This event for students is free, but please register online here听for this amazing interfaith experience!听

Bonus:听As part of MORSL's Ny Neighbour's Faith series, 缅北强奸 students are eligible for recognition on their co-curricular record. Signup here and we'll submit your details to myInvolvement for recognition on your 缅北强奸 student co-curricular record after the event concludes.

Part of the "My Neighbour鈥檚 Faith" series of visits to religious organizations and sacred sites around Montreal to learn about different faith traditions, observe a religious practice, and ask questions of community members. After a guided visit, student participants join members of this congregation for a community meal followed by a Q&A to gain a better understanding of the meaning of music in this holiday for members of this faith community. Through exposure, dialogue and experiential learning, students who participate in these visits become better equipped to live harmoniously in a pluralistic society.
