The need for rapid and inexpensive techniques for soil fertility determination has led to the investigation of modern technologies. Infrared spectroscopy in the near-infrared region has been traditionally used, while the mid-infrared region (4000 – 400 cm-1) has been less studied. In this research, the feasibility of employing attenuated total reflectance mid-infrared (ATR-MIR) spectroscopy in soil fertility determination was studied.
