"Harvesting Freedom": Free book event and discussion
On Monday, November 13 at 6pm, 缅北强奸 will welcome Gabriel Allahdua, co-author of the award winning book,
Harvesting Freedom is a deeply personal memoir that takes readers behind the scenes to see what life is really like for the people who produce Canada鈥檚 food and brings awareness to the migrant justice movement in Canada which demands rights and respect for temporary foreign labourers.
Allahdua is a former migrant farm worker and activist for rights for migrant works in Canada. He co-authored his book with Ed Dunsworth, Assistant Professor, Department of History and Classical Studies, and they will both be present at Monday鈥檚 event to discuss the book, which has recently been awarded the Speaker鈥檚 Book Prize from the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.
The event is free and no registration is required.
