4 O'Clock Forum: The Gut Microbiota: Between Symbiosis and Dysbiosis
4 O'clock Forum is a monthly seminar series for Macdonald researchers and graduate students to be exposed to scientific advancements related to their own fields of research as well as other scientific areas. Graduate and undergraduate students can benefit from these academic opportunities, all of which are aimed at stimulating critical discussions about contemporary research and issues in the agriculture and environment, to foster increased interactions among the Macdonald faculty, and to highlight our ability to deliver outstanding scientific contributions.
This month's lecture features Salam Habib, PhD Candidate in the School of Human Nutrition.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Salam Habib, a senior PhD student at 缅北强奸's Macdonald Campus School of Human Nutrition. Supervised by Dr. Luis Agellon, her research aims to study the possibility of reshaping the gut microbiota to promote health, and reduce obesity and its related diseases. During her study, she built an artificial gut system, the first of its kind in North America, highly flexible and feasible, and can be used for extensive investigation of the gut microbiota from various angles.
