The Research Group on Democracy, Space and Technology presents a talk by聽Albena Yaneva, Professor, Architectural Theory, University of Manchester, UK.

This event is follows on the Yan P. Lin Centre鈥檚 annual lecture to be delivered by Bruno Latour on 8 April 2021 and we are happy to announce that Bruno Latour will be there to introduce Albena Yaneva.

This event is part of the wider Bicentennial celebrations.

Albena Yaneva is Professor of Architectural Theory at the University of Manchester, UK. She has worked at Princeton University and Parsons School of Design, and held the Lise Meitner Chair at Lund. She is the author of The Making of a Building (2009), Made by the OMA: An Ethnography of Design (2009), Mapping Controversies in Architecture (2012), Five Ways to Make Architecture Political: An Introduction to the Politics of Design Practice (2017), The New Architecture of Science (with Sir Kostya S. Novoselov, 2020). Her most recent book is Crafting History: Archiving and the Quest for Architectural Legacy (2020). Her work has been translated into nine languages. Dr. Yaneva is the recipient of the RIBA President's Award for Outstanding Research (2010).
