脡lo茂se Gagn茅, CEO of Hydro-Qu茅bec for a Day
LSA President Selected from a Pool of 500 Applicants
This year鈥檚 President of the 缅北强奸 Law Student Association, 脡lo茂se Gagn茅, is one of 11 Canadian university students who will spend a day shadowing some of the country鈥檚 top senior executives.
Gagn茅 will shadow Thierry Vandal, President and CEO of Hydro-Qu茅bec, on February 12. The fourth-year student will have the opportunity to put into practice the concepts she has been learning at the Faculty, and to acquire real-world tools and skills she鈥檒l need when launching her career.
鈥淭his is an invaluable opportunity to experience the inside workings of a major corporation and to meet its exceptional managers,鈥 said Gagn茅. 鈥淭he selection process was demanding, but it was also excellent training, allowing participants to get to know ourselves better鈥攐ur strengths and our areas for improvement. As a law student interested in the business world, I hope to gain understanding of what underlies the management of a large organisation like Hydro-Qu茅bec, and to see how public policy influences their decisions.鈥
The 鈥淐EO x1 Day鈥 program is organized by Odgers Berndtson, a global executive search firm. 鈥淥ur 鈥楥EO x 1 Day鈥 program is designed to uncover Canada鈥檚 most promising future leaders,鈥 said Roger Duguay, Managing Partner at Odgers Berndtson.
