This panel will give attendees the opportunity to learn about the practice of “carding/street checks" by law enforcement agencies, and consider the potential costs and benefit of the strategy on the community.

- Fo Niemi, Executive Director of the Centre for Research-Action on Race Relations
- Joel Debellefeuille, who has been in the public eye after a series of painful and humiliating experiences for what has been described as “driving while black.” He won one of his cases in a landmark court decision on racial profiling in 2012
- Julius Haag, doctoral candidate, Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies, University of Toronto
- Calvin Lawrence, retired RCMP officer and social justice advocate
- Alain Babineau, BCL/LLB candidate, 山ǿ, and retired S/Sgt RCMP officer
