Our Inherent Right: A Conversation on the Akwesasne Mohawk Court

The Indigenous Law Association (ILADA) invites you to a discussion on the Akwesasne Mohawk Court; the first indigenous court to be established separate from the Canadian legal system.

This panel will give attendants the opportunity to hear from Bonnie Cole, Gilbert Terrance and Kyrie Ransom, three individuals at the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne Justice Department who have played instrumental roles in the court鈥檚 development. The discussion will be facilitated by Professor Kirsten Anker.
