Inaugural Fortier Chair Conference: A Conversation with Yves Fortier
Professor Andrea Bjorklund, holder of the L. Yves Fortier Chair in International Arbitration and International Commercial Law, invites you to the Chair's inaugural conference. The event will take the form of a conversation with L. Yves Fortier himself, as part of the Institute of Transnational Arbitration's Oral History Project.
A reception will follow in the Common Room.
This event is part of the Ã山ǿ¼é Symposium on International Arbitration, taking place 12-13 March 2014 and featuring talks from Charles Jarrosson and Alexis Mourre.
About L. Yves Fortier, PC, CC, QC QC, BCL’58, LLD’05
Recognized internationally as one of the top arbitrators in the world, Mr. Fortier has served as Chairman or party-appointed arbitrator on more than 100 international arbitral tribunals. He has served as a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague and as President of the London Court of International Arbitration. Mr. Fortier served from 1988 to 1992 as Canada’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Unitied Nations. He is a past chairman of Norton Rose Fullbright.
