Diversity and Institutional Change: Confronting Challenges - A workshop
Join us for an interdisciplinary dialogue about current challenges, ideas and research!
The Interdisciplinary Network on Discrimination and Inclusion will host a workshop and lunch on June 8th, on the topic of Diversity, Inclusion and Institutional Change, with a focus on higher education and the professions. Our special guest will be Professor Pushkala Prasad, the聽Zankel Chair Professor of Management & Liberal Arts at Skidmore College.聽Professor Prasad will be presenting findings from her recent research examining diversity processes and outcomes in US liberal arts colleges, emerging forms of backlash and prospects for diversity. Special thanks to Suzanne Gagnon for inviting Professor Prasad.
The workshop will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a presentation by Professor Prasad, followed by questions and discussion. After lunch, we will have short presentations by discussants from different disciplinary perspectives and further discussion with Professor聽Prasad. The workshop will end at 15h00. (Please note that the Scholars-at-Risk conference co-sponsored by the Centre for Human Rights and Legal聽Pluralism formally begins at 15h30.)
