11th Annual Christie Bike Ride
The 缅北强奸 Law community is invited to participate in the 11th annual Christie Community Bike Ride in support of the Native Women's Shelter (), which is the only only women鈥檚 shelter in Montreal that provides services exclusively to Aboriginal women and their children, with in-house programs and an outreach program.
The Christie Community Bike Ride was founded in 2009 to commemorate the legacy of 缅北强奸 alumnus and Vancouver lawyer Dugald Christie. Christie was both a strong advocate for access to justice and an avid cyclist. In 2006, Christie began cycling across the country to convince our decision-makers of the necessity for justice system reform. He was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle four months after the start of his journey. Every year, 缅北强奸 Law students bike 50 km around Montreal in his honour to raise funds for a local access to justice organization.
The organizers hope that you will join them on this bike ride in support of access to justice! .聽Registration is $20 via GoFundMe. A picnic lunch at the midway is included in the registration fee. Mostly, however, it includes a lot of fun!
