Exemption deadlines

2024-2025 Exemptions must be claimed by:

If you apply for an exemption in Minerva by the deadlines indicated in the second column, this will ensure that you are not charged interest on the unpaid International Health Insurance fee听while you wait for your documents to be processed. Interest charges will not be reversed for late exemption requests.

If we do not receive an appropriate supporting document by the exemption deadline, your online request will be denied. Exemption documents received after the above deadlines in the third column may be considered on a case by case basis, but you will be responsible for paying any interest or late payment fees as they appear on your student fee account. Please ensure that the supporting documentation that you are submitting听clearly indicates听a coverage date that begins September 1st or earlier for the fall term, January 1st or earlier for the winter term and May 1st or earlier for the summer term. After the above deadlines, all exemption requests and supporting documents must be submitted directly to 听Exemptions from the International Health Insurance plan cannot be processed retroactively for previous terms or academic years.
