Emma Hemus: Research at École Polytechnique de Lausanne

Thanks to the Schull Yang International Experience Awards, Chemical Engineering student Emma Hemus spent two months during the summer of 2014 completing a research project at École Polytechnique de Lausanne.

“This experience gave me an opportunity to explore the biological engineering field, and really opened my eyes to what I could do in the future. I will always remain grateful for this opportunity, because I now know that I would like my graduate studies to focus on the biological side of the field.

In addition, the experience showed me that there are valuable opportunities outside of North America where I can pursue graduate studies.â€
