The next clusters were identified temporally along the Amazon river, suggesting that the spread of infection was mainly through travel along the river. Subsequent clusters were then seen in less populated areas. Clusters in Peru and Ecuador could have been due to different transmission dynamics, since only the part of the country included in the Amazon region was included for the analysis.
Wed, 04 Nov 2020 23:04:36 +0000 Rajkrishna Ravikumar; Bo-young Yoon; Ana Riviere-Cinnamond; Jisoo Kim; Patricia Najera Hamrick 2655 at /globalhealth Impact of COVID-19 pandemic on latent and active tuberculosis treatment registrations in Montreal, Canada: a retrospective study at the Montreal Chest Institute /globalhealth/article/global-health-night-2020-canada-americas-covid-19-global-health-programs-award-recipients/impact-covid-19-pandemic-latent-and-active-tuberculosis-treatment-registrations
Abstract

Background:

We sought to assess the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on registrations for treatment of latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) or active tuberculosis at the Montreal Chest Institute (MCI), a specialized referral center in Montreal, Quebec, the city with the highest number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Canada.
Wed, 04 Nov 2020 22:44:41 +0000 Mariane Saroufim 2653 at /globalhealth
