Kerstin Schreiber, a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography, will be giving a talk titled “On being a trailblazer: First-generation students and their challenges, capacities, and resources” in which she will reflect on the challenges and opportunities specific to undergraduate and graduate students who are the first in their family to attend university. This talk is separate from the main GeoSpectives series and is more of a brown bag, informal talk format – as such, feel free to bring your lunch. Here is also a link to the Facebook event page: .
