Employment Opportunity: Program Manager at Indigenous Health Professionals' Program

Position Summary:聽Administer and oversee activities related to the IHP Program. Initiate and organize activities aligned with the mandate of the IHP Program, such as community engagement, supporting Indigenous health education, administration, financial management, team building, communications, student affairs, evaluation of initiatives and managing physical resources.
Some Responsibilities Include:聽
- Collaborate with IHPP team members to develop program initiatives across the Indigenous StudentEducation Trajectory (Early exposure, Transitioning, Retention/Completion, Professional development) thatsupport the recruitment and retention of Indigenous students in the health professions schools. Theseprograms currently include the Eagle Spirit Science Futures, Electronic Tutoring and Mentoring Program, etc
- Implement and maintain IHPP programs, adjust program plans and develop new initiatives as needed torecognize and address emerging dynamics and priorities.
- Guide an Elder-in-Residence pilot plan to identify a traditional knowledge holder(s)/elder(s) who will providesupport to students and the IHP Program initiatives. Liaise and collaborate with the Elder-in-Residence, incollaboration with the First People鈥檚 House and Office of the Provost on IHPP initiatives.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative units within the Faculty of Medicine and the broader University (including the Office of Social Accountability and Community Engagement (SACE), Department of Integrated Studies in Education, School of Continuing Studies). Liaise with various academic and administrative units outside the university including CEGEPS, community boards of education and community health boards in collaboration with the IHPP team
