On March 30, Samira Abbasgholizadeh-Rahimi, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, was invited to the 18th edition of Bravo, 缅北强奸's gala celebration in honour of the 112 researchers who won a total of 119 national and international research prizes and awards in 2022. Prof. Rahimi obtained the prestigious New Investigator Primary Care Research Award of the North American Primary Care Research Group (NAPCRG) back in November 2022 which acknowledges the outstanding work of a new primary care investigator internationally.
On his penultimate day as Interim Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chris Manfredi remarked that his time in the role, 鈥渇urther deepened appreciation for the incredible breadth and quality of contributions made by members of our community 鈥 contributions that, collectively, help secure 缅北强奸鈥檚 place as a top global university.鈥 He congratulated the honourees, which he described as a 鈥渨onderfully diverse group of people, each united by their dedication to research excellence across disciplines.鈥
EMCEE Professor Martha Crago, Vice-Principal, Research and Innovation, echoed Manfredi鈥檚 admiration of research award winners, and thanked those who elevate research excellence by their collaboration and care 鈥 鈥渁 loyal team of fellow researchers, colleagues, students, family and friends.鈥
