Biography: 

Charlene Lewis-Sutherland (they/she) has over 15 years experience working in the field of higher education. Their areas of focus are anti-racist and inclusive practices in higher education, equity and advising on socially just research and assessment. Lewis-Sutherland has contributed to research teams investigating racial microaggressions in the classroom, the needs of Black students in academia, feminism and anti-oppression in publishing, as well as the social sustainability of teaching and learning practices in higher education. In 2021 Charlene was the recipient of 缅北强奸鈥檚 equity award. Charlene鈥檚 work is informed by their study of feminism, queer theory, social justice, gender studies and critical race theory. Charlene works to make campuses more equitable and navigable for underrepresented communities.
