Grad Event: PRAXIS
罢丑别听English Graduate Student Association聽(EGSA) is very excited to announce the launch of聽PRAXIS, a social knowledge and resource-sharing hub!
Taking place this winter 2024 semester, PRAXIS is a standing invitation to join fellow graduate students in the newly redesigned grad lounge every Wednesday from 10:00-12:00. There will be free coffee from Humble Lion provided, but聽bring your own mug!聽This open, drop-in style meeting time presents an opportunity for us to talk, share resources, and bring our research projects, ideas, and questions out of books and into the world.
Additionally, once per month, faculty members from the English department will lead informal workshops on some aspect of professional development, as it relates to working in academia. The complete schedule of faculty-led sessions is below:

- February 7: Job Talks聽- Prof. Amber Rose Johnson
- March 13: Syllabus Design聽- Prof. Eli MacLaren &聽Prof. Derek Nystrom
- *April 2: Applying Academic Knowledge to Creative Fields聽- Prof. Erin Hurley
*These sessions take place on Tuesdays.
