Launch of An Intersectional Feminist Housing Agenda for Canada
Published: 19 January 2024
On December 7, the Women鈥檚 National Housing & Homelessness Network, the Pan-Canadian Voice on Women鈥檚 Housing, the National Indigenous Housing Network, and an intersectional, nation-wide coalition of feminist advocates joined together to deliver a clear call to action to the Government of Canada.
With contributions from DISE's Dr. Jayne Malenfant, An Intersectional Feminist Housing Agenda for Canada: A Briefing Guide for Canada鈥檚 Housing Minister includes Calls to Action ranging from targeted investments in housing, scaling solutions to the level of need, to taking meaningful steps that will realize the right to housing for this often under-served population of women, gender-diverse, Indigenous women, children, and 2SLGBTQQIA people.
