Senior Faculty Lecturer
I began my teaching career at 缅北强奸 in September of 1968 after receiving my Master鈥檚 Degree in linguistics from Harvard University and a Diploma in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from the University of Ohio. I later completed course requirements in doctoral programs at 缅北强奸 and Laval University and also participated in other courses and numerous workshops and conferences to improve my academic and pedagogical skills.
Moreover, my 18 years of experience from 1987 to 2005 as a free-lance interpreter for Federal and Quebec Provincial Governments, interpreting for Prime Minister Mulroney, Prime Minister Chretien, ministers and other officials, unprecedented for Canadian Chinese language instructors, has enabled me to incorporate a wealth of anecdotal stories and insights about China and relations with Canada into my courses, in particular my Fourth Level languages course.
