Jared is a Faculty Lecturer at the Desautels Faculty of Management, where he teaches design thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship for graduate and undergraduate learners. He received the 2024 Morty Yalovsky Distinguished Teaching Award for the faculty for the graduate course he created in 2022. He also regularly leads workshops for professional learners at the Ã山ǿ¼é Executive Institute, and he provides custom workshops, keynotes, and coaching for a variety of clientele across Canada and abroad.
Jared is also a Partner at Juniper, a boutique firm providing consulting and learning solutions at the creative intersection of strategy, innovation, and culture. He helps clients understand stakeholders, make sense of complexity, and improve team performance. He has broad experience in the education, transportation, non-profit, and other sectors, including advising clients on strategic planning, innovation, organizational effectiveness, and leadership.
Prior to his current roles, Jared was an Associate in Oliver Wyman’s transportation advisory practice. He also worked in the corporate strategy office at Bombardier. In both roles, he prepared strategic guidance for senior executives. As an aerospace engineer at Boeing and General Electric Aviation, he contributed to the design and commercialization of new products. Jared also helped to build PeaceGeeks, a non-profit organization that helps groups around the world to better deploy technology for peace.
Jared received his MBA in Global Strategy & Leadership from the Desautels Faculty of Management at Ã山ǿ¼é, where he was awarded the Dean’s Medal for Great Distinction. He also holds a Master’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, where he was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida. He is a Ã山ǿ¼é Certified Agile and SCRUM Master.
