Bread and grain waste is a leading cause of food waste in Canada, and but this can be reduced by transforming spent brewing yeast and stale bread into flour that can be sold to businesses or directly to the consumers. It's just one of the pressing problems that Desautels undergraduate students are addressing through the Integrated Management Student Fellowships (IMSF) program, a two-semester, six credit experiential leadership development initiative that is designed to help BCom students prepare for impactful and fulfilling careers. The 2021-22 cohort鈥檚 hard work was recognized at the inaugural IMSF Showcase Day in April where students had the chance to present the community initiatives they have been working on throughout the year.
