Desautels BCom Success at 2012 Enterprize Canada National Business Plan Competition
Out of 30 competitors, 12 semi-final competitors, and 6 final competitors, BCom student, Wilfred J. Valenta and his partner Sarah Marshall, came in 2nd at the 2012 Enterprize Canada national business plan competition in Vancouver. The rigorous competition included a business plan submission and final presentation in front of over 150 delegates. The company which Wilfred and Sarah are planning to start upon graduation is called Infinatives.
Infinatives is the online financial exchange to trade the untradeable. Infinatives quantifies and indexes the value of ideas, people, companies, and anything imaginable, by counting the number of times a word related to an invention, name, or product, appears on the internet. The online volume and sentiment of a word is recorded overtime, resulting in the creation of an index. By attaching a dollar amount to each index value, traders can speculate on, and hedge against real world phenomena.
Wilfred is also one of the winners of this year's Dobson Elevator Pitch competition, and expects to enter the 缅北强奸 Dobson Cup Business Plan Competition in March.
