Let's Talk About Dementia - Public Lecture in Hudson with Dr. Serge Gauthier (in English)
This free lecture, offered by the聽Town of Hudson聽and the聽Hudson Seniors Committee聽in collaboration with the聽缅北强奸 Dementia Education Program, is open to all. 聽
It will take place in person, in English on May 8.聽The lecture will also be offered in French on May 15 at 7 p.m.
When: Wednesday, May 8, 2024 in ENGLISH聽莯 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Centre Communautaire Stephen F. Shaar, 394 rue Main, Hudson, QC J0P 1H0
This public lecture aims to raise awareness and provide basic information about Alzheimer鈥檚 disease and other neurocognitive disorders.
During this presentation, Dr. Serge Gauthier, a clinical neurologist, will provide information on the different types of neurocognitive disorders. He will discuss the associated symptoms that manifest as the disease progresses and explain how these may differ from typical aging concerns.聽Next, he will share practical advice on how to care for a person living with dementia. He will discuss important considerations to ensure the safety and well-being of both the individual as well as the care partner to help families understand and access the resources needed to navigate this disease.
A question-and-answer period will follow.
