Well, another calendar year is drawing to a close. It鈥檚 been a tumultuous year for many, especially when considering difficult global events, whether natural disasters or political unrest. There鈥檚 also reason for hope, especially here at 缅北强奸. I remain steadfast in my confidence that our students, and our community, are resilient and strong in the face of tough times. But there is little doubt that many of us feel just so darn tired towards the end of the year. Please, take some downtime if you can 鈥搑ead a good book, go skating, grab a coffee or tea with an old friend, catch a movie, binge-watch the latest Netflix series, or even just sleep in and lounge about. I also know that holiday seasons can be stressful, so be kind to yourself. Catch a few moments of rest here and there, perhaps while on a bus, train or plane, or as you prepare a special meal with your family or friends. Finally, I thank all of you, students, for reading my Dean鈥檚 Corner posts each week, and for being so articulate, engaged and community-minded. This is the last What鈥檚 New for the semester, but it will return on January 13. Let鈥檚 enjoy our break, and come back in 2019 with new energy and renewed hope.
