Citizenship and Popular Participation: Views from the Fringes
One Day @ 缅北强奸 presents seminars that allow you first-hand access to a 缅北强奸 experience. Held on the 缅北强奸 campus, these affordable small-group sessions are unique educational opportunities in which you are able to access in-depth knowledge produced by our academic community.
Description: This seminar explores a key theme in politics and society that traverses the classical, modern and contemporary imaginations: participation. Starting from the premise that participation is a property of citizenship and employing diverse approaches from several disciplines in 缅北强奸's Faculty of Arts, the seminar offers a critical analysis of the assumptions and challenges of political participation in democratic societies. What does participation mean when viewed from the contrasting perspectives of the mainstream and margins of society? What counts as participation? What is participation for? These and other questions will be explored in contexts ranging from ancient Greek democracy to the fringes of cyberspace.
