Desautels BCom students Ethan Zhang, Jeremie Guay, Chris Lim, Yusu Zheng, Nikolas Sinnhuber and Sameer Rizvi, won 1st place in Quantitative Outcry at the 2014 Rotman International Trading Competition (RITC) held February 20 to 22. The RITC is an annual event hosted by the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. The competition utilizes simulated trading cases that closely mimic different aspects of real world markets and brings teams of students and faculty from universities worldwide to participate. The team was sponsored by Desjardins.听

Most professors exhaust themselves trying to get their students off of social media.听Andy Nulman (BCom'83), however, has designed his entire class around being on it.

A Desautels undergraduate student case team composed of Brooke Freeman, Shonezi Noor, Katan Patel and Jeremy Singer not only took 1st place in the preliminary case but also placed 1st overall in the main case at the UPorto ICC 2013 hosted by the University of Porto from October 21 to 25, 2013.
