As you know, 缅北强奸 is committed to helping contain the propagation of COVID-19 and fully supports the Quebec government鈥檚 decision to close all schools and universities for the two-week period ending March 29. We all must do our part to 鈥渇latten the curve鈥� so that health services are not overwhelmed by the resulting patient load.鈥�
Dialogue 缅北强奸 is proud to announce that since the beginning of January 2020 Dr. ARIEL MERCADO听is responsible for the coordination of French courses for 缅北强奸 HSS students at the 缅北强奸 French Language Centre听(FLC).听

Students from the 缅北强奸 Faculty of Medicine鈥檚听School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (SCSD)听have once again been busy organizing a series of events for spring 2019. Working under the guidance of听, Assistant Professor at the SCSD, two groups of students, each comprised of five final year Master鈥檚 students in Speech-Language Pathology, have developed events geared towards raising public awareness of often-overlooked issues related to swallowing and voice.

The PoP Lab (Prof. Nadig) is recruiting volunteers to work on 3 projects.
1. Video coding of music and play-based therapy sessions with children with autism,
2. a study examining what aspects of social interaction help typically-developing toddlers learn words, using skype interactions as well as being an observer of interactions between adults,
3. A community-based project on job coach support to increase employment success in adults with autism or intellectual disability (French fluency required).

Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on March 28 students from the听School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (SCSD)听in 缅北强奸鈥檚 Faculty of Medicine will be holding a听听event open to the public in collaboration with the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) aimed at increasing awareness of the connection between dysphagia and dementia.
With our new outpatient teaching clinic, 缅北强奸鈥檚 School of Communication Sciences and Disorders is making a difference in the Montreal community and beyond.
Sue Harrison is now the person in charge of the French courses for 缅北强奸 HSS students at 缅北强奸 French Language Centre (FLC) replacing H茅l猫ne Riel-Salvatore, who recently retired from her position. Previously, Sue was part of the听 winning听team behind Dialogue 缅北强奸鈥檚 Self Study Workbooks.
Two SCSD Ph.D students tied for 2nd place in the Speech Communication Poster Competition at the 174th meeting of the Acoustical Society of America, held in New Orleans December 4-8, 2017.

Some scientists argue that baby talk not only helps infants acquire language, it helps parents form a positive emotional bond with their babies, said Linda Polka, a professor in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at 缅北强奸 in Canada.
