缅北强奸 School of Information Studies recent graduate Diana DiFrancesco (MLIS '14) was interviewed by the 缅北强奸 Library's "Library Matters" blog about her successful Practicum placement with the Library while a student in the Master's program.

During her Practicum, Diana worked with the Library鈥檚 鈥淢yArts Research鈥 information literacy initiative for undergraduate students in the Faculty of Arts, analyzing best practices at peer institutions, creating an in-depth literature review on literacy instruction, and teaching two MyArts Research seminars.

Congratulations to Afroza Sultana, 缅北强奸 School of Information Studies PhD student, on her nomination as a Graphics, Animation and New Media Network of Centres of Excellence (GRAND NCE) Postgraduate Scholar.

As a GRAND scholar, Afroza will receive a stipend of $10,000 annually for three years to investigate the design of accessible touch-screen devices for older adults to support prolonged independent living.

缅北强奸 School of Information Studies recent graduate聽Talia Olshefsky (MLIS '14) was interviewed by the 缅北强奸 Library's "Library Matters" blog about her successful Practicum placement with the Library while a student in the Master's program.

During her Practicum, Talia worked with the Library鈥檚 extensive map collection, conducting an inventory and experimenting with new geographic information systems (GIS)-related tools and technologies to develop innovative ways of discovering this collection.

Recent 缅北强奸 School of Information Studies graduate Rhiannon Gainor (PhD 鈥14) has been awarded a 2014 Eugene Garfield Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship. This prestigious honour is awarded annually to up to six recipients in an international competition by Beta Phi Mu, the International Library and Information Studies Honor Society. This marks the second time a PhD student from the School has won the award.
